This show in-particular at the Pageant theater in St Louis, MO was amazing. The band mixed new music with old. Starting their show with their first single Na, Na, Na off their latest album Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Kill Joys.
Gerard Way with his signature style of changing his hair color for each album release was sporting the brightest RED hair I have ever seen.
If you think about the marketing of this campaign for MCR, you can see several different ways this band is marketing. Which to me is incredible to watch play out. The management team and the band I am sure came up with an idea and from there it was taken and run with.
From the beginning of the release of the teaser trailer for their new album - the promotion has been that of Futuristic rebels of a societal mandate on the world. Ever step after that has been yet another visual companion to their CD, and their live show is proof.
If you get the opportunity to see MCR Live, you will thank me and I am pretty sure you will be a killjoy like me.
